THE STORY OF TOTO (Part 1)

In posting the information and references to music edition this time I will try to lift stories, biographies, and career of a pretty famous band at the age of 80 until 90.many people say that the experience was a valuable lesson. For group band Toto, that statement is true. Prior to becoming a group, they are a studio musician. David Paich (keyboards), Steve Lukather (guitar), Steve Porcaro (guitar), Jeff Porcaro (drums), Bobby Kimball (vocals), and David Hungate (bass) have practically high enough flight hours to help a singer and recording projects also several bands in Amerika.Toto formed in 1978, in Los Angeles, California, United States. For reference, Toto is actually a result of the meeting of six musicians, David Paich, Steve Lukather, Steve Porcaro, Jeff Porcaro, Bobby Kimball, and David Hungate, they founded the music group was none other than being attracted to the material from the band's songs - UK bands such as Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, and Yes. The band was very influential and became a reference in the band Toto. Toto's name itself is taken from the name of Dorothy's dog, a character in the story of The Wizard of Oz.Toto succeeded in recording because producers believe that the ability and experience as a studio musician, especially after the successful handling of personnel Toto album Silk Degrees Boz Scaggs.Album solo who supported David Paich, Jeff Porcaro and David Hungate was a guarantee Toto into recording. The opportunity is used to release his debut album, Toto. Previously, the single "Hold The Line" was released to the market in 1978. The single was successful on Top 10 in America followed by Toto album that sold more than two million copies .Success Toto's debut album, led to a second album, "Hydra", which was released in 1979. Unfortunately the album is only successful in its sales figures, but not a phenomenal debut album, Toto. Even their music formats also incorporate previously style-rock-fusion classic, does not appear on the album Hydra because it was the color of jazz more dominant. Yet apparently still show Toto-style rock songs like "All Us Boys". Do not miss the color black music they also appear in the song "99".

New Toto scored a success and evergreen songs after releasing the album "Turn Back" in 1980. This album may just drop in the market, but the 4th album entitled Toto IV (1982) is the opposite, like a gold album for Toto. Through the album Toto successfully propel the legendary 3 hits like "Rosanna", "Africa", and "I Wan't to Hold You Back". David Paich, Toto keyboardist said the three songs have its own character. "Rosanna" like this song more towards fusion, "Africa" tends to pop afro, and "IWon’t to Hold You Back"-style soft rock. Color stories to the album - the 4th. "Rosanna" is a song that tells of a woman named Rosanna Arquette and never having love with Steve Lukather. The song "Rosanna" managed to steal a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance and Best Instrumental Arrangement with Vocal. Toto IV album also managed to be crowned the best album and best producer in the year 1982. But, like most other groups, success was not followed by compactness personnel. Because the front man, Bobby Kimbal, instead opt out of Toto. According to a growing issue, Bobby Kimbal fired from Toto because no discipline. David Hungate Bobby also seems to be following the Kimbal. Bobby Kimbal next replacement is Dennis Fredickson Fergie. While the little brother of Steve and Jeff, that is Mike Porcaro, appears as the new bassist Toto. After releasing the album "Isolation" in 1984, Dennis Fergie Fredickson Vocalist retreat from the position before releasing the album "Fahrenheit" (1986), the position was replaced by Dennis Joseph Williams. Fahrenheit seems to have the same case with the album "Toto IV", the album "Fahrenheit", Toto managed to jump-start nuanced pop jazz hits, namely through the song "Lea" and "I'll Be Over You". Fahrenheit can say is the album that is identical with the album "Toto IV" and "Hydra" which presents more jazzy songs. Actually there are many stories about Toto's just not cool I think that tells it all now so stay close in the next post, as the leak of former Vocalist Bobby Kimbal will join Toto Toto curious again with my right?? .
